Twisted Planks






This is an excellent exercise for both the obliques (your side ab muscles) and the transverse abdominis, the muscle that acts like a girdle and cinches your waist.

Some call that area as that muffin top area, love handles, etc. An area hard to work on but not impossible to improve. It may feel uncomfortable at first but you will grow to love them once you start seeing the results!
 



Main Muscle Used: Abs, Obliques
Secondary Muscles: Shoulders, Glutes, Quads
Movement: Isolated
Exercise Type: Twist
Equipment Required: Exercise Mat (optional)
For this exercise, beginners are  looking for 3x 20 repetitions and 3x30 for intermediate.
